While traditional water-repellent (DWR) treatments on face fabrics can degrade over time, Huzhou Kaili's ePTFE (expanded Polytetrafluoroethylene) membranes provide the permanent, high-pressure barrier that defines a true water-repellent system. Our membranes are engineered to be the functional core of 2-layer and 3-layer textile composites, ensuring that even when the outer fabric becomes saturated, the wearer remains completely dry.

A high-performance fabric system relies on the synergy between the outer treatment and the internal membrane. Our ePTFE films are optimized for:

  • High Hydrostatic Pressure Resistance: Withstands water entry pressures of up to 30,000mm. This ensures an impenetrable barrier against wind-driven rain and pressurized moisture (such as kneeling on wet ground or wearing heavy backpack straps).
  • Tuned Vapor-Drive Microporosity: Featuring over 9 billion pores per square inch, our membrane architecture maintains a high Vapor Pressure Gradient. This allows perspiration to exhaust instantly, preventing the internal "sauna effect" and keeping the wearer dry from the inside out.
  • Superior Adhesive Compatibility: Specifically treated for high-energy surface tension to ensure a permanent mechanical bond with PUR (Polyurethane Reactive) adhesives. This results in Peel Strength (>5.0 N/5cm) that eliminates the risk of delamination during heavy use or industrial laundering.
  • Oleophobic Protection (Optional): We offer specialized finishes that protect the ePTFE nodal structure from contamination by body oils, salts, and detergents, which can otherwise compromise the system's water-repellent and breathable performance.
