Huzhou Kaili New Material Technology Co., Ltd. manufactures specialized Oleophobic ePTFE (expanded Polytetrafluoroethylene) membranes designed for critical industrial venting applications. In environments where equipment is exposed to oils, detergents, or automotive fluids, standard membranes can "wet out" and lose breathability. Our oleophobic treatment ensures that the membrane repels low-surface-tension liquids, maintaining continuous airflow and pressure equalization.

Why Oleophobic ePTFE is Essential for Venting

  • Resistance to "Wetting Out": Standard ePTFE is hydrophobic (repels water) but can be penetrated by oils. Our oleophobic grade achieves an Oil Rating of 6–8, ensuring that lubricants, fuels, and cleaning agents bead up and roll off the surface.
  • Rapid Pressure Equalization: Protects sensitive enclosures from vacuum or overpressure caused by temperature fluctuations, preventing seal failure and "breathing in" of contaminants.
