Expanded polytetrafluoroethylene (EPTFE) footwear membranes are formed into a 0.1-0.3μm nano-scale microporous structure through an ultra-thin biaxial stretching process, achieving extreme performance of >20,000mmH₂O hydrostatic pressure (ISO 811) and >10,000g/m²·24h moisture permeability (ASTM E96). They are specially designed for mountaineering shoes, tactical boots and all-weather sports shoes, and meet the EN ISO 20345:2022 industrial safety footwear standard and Bluesign® environmental certification.
EPTFE Advantages
All-weather protection and breathability balance
Rainstorm-level waterproof: hydrostatic pressure>20,000mmH₂O, hot-melt welding of seams without penetration (ISO 2411), suitable for wading and muddy environments.
Directional moisture removal: moisture permeability>10,000g, 5 times higher than traditional PU membrane (PU is only 2,000g), to prevent dampness in the shoes from causing tinea pedis.
Ultra-thin, flexible and lightweight
Zero-restraint design: single-layer membrane thickness <25μm, fits the 3D curved surface of the shoe last (bending radius <5mm), weight <50g/m² (40% lighter than GORE-TEX).
Anti-fatigue life: moisture permeability attenuation <5% after 100,000 dynamic bending (SATRA TM31), suitable for high-intensity sports.
Industrial-grade durability and environmental protection
Abrasion-resistant reinforcement: Surface nano-zirconia coating (Mohs hardness > 8), anti-sand and stone scratch > 50,000 times (EN 530).
Recycling: Supports 30% recycled EPTFE mixed production, waste recycling rate > 90%, and carbon footprint reduced by 30% (ISO 14064).
