ePTFE is a highly porous material, and its unique microporous structure is the key to achieving various excellent properties. The size of these micropores is very small, usually between 0.1 microns and 0.5 microns, which is much smaller than the diameter of a water droplet, so water droplets cannot penetrate through the micropores, thus giving the fabric excellent waterproof properties. At the same time, the diameter of water vapor molecules is much smaller than that of micropores and can pass freely, making the fabric have good breathability, allowing the sweat produced by the body to be discharged in the form of water vapor even during strenuous exercise, keeping the wearer dry and comfortable.
